Independent Board Member / Luxembourg

Massimo is an Independent Board Member based in Luxembourg. 

In 1994 Mr. Longoni began his professional career into a listed large industrial corporation (Finmeccanica Group), within the project financing and structured products department. 

In 1997 he joined the Luxembourg merchant bank of one of the leading European banking groups (at the time Banca Commerciale Italiana, now Intesa Sanpaolo Bank), where he covered several positions, up to vice-president, of the financial engineering department (Structure Finance & Advisory). 
In 2002 he co-founded the Electa Group, and he is now CEO and managing partner of GE Lux S.A., independent advisory firm providing dynamic and qualified assistance (corporate and deal structuring, M&A advisory, etc.) to institutional private equity investors, VC/PE international funds and SMEs, with a specific focus on buy-out activities, extraordinary transactions and M&A. 

In 2011 he co-founded, and is a non-executive director of, Luxembourg Fund Services S.A., an independent PSF (Professionel du Secteur Financier, supervised by the controlling authority CSSF), providing qualified central administration services to first-tier mid-market PE/VC funds and family offices. 

Mr. Longoni has over 25 years of experience in the financial and private equity industry across Europe and he has been appointed as independent board member in a few selected AIFM (Alternative Investment Fund Managers), managing mainly PE/VC funds investing across Europe. 
Mr. Longoni holds a master degree in economics and social sciences from Bocconi University, Milan, Italy.
